Throughout his career, he has consistently achieved exceptional results in scaling and exiting life science companies, surpassing performance targets, and assembling and guiding world-class global commercial and business development teams. With a strong track record, Mike has successfully introduced and expanded global healthcare products and services, cementing his reputation as a trusted industry leader.

His notable accomplishments include overseeing the general management of global organizations, successfully revitalizing underperforming businesses and divisions, and orchestrating the growth and successful exits of multiple companies. Mike’s expertise lies in crafting and executing effective business strategies that drive long-term success. Moreover, he has established enduring relationships within the diagnostic, biopharmaceutical, healthcare IT, and laboratory services industries, which have proven instrumental in his career accomplishments.

As Chief Growth Officer for Strategic Partnerships, Andrew Wyatt is responsible for growing Sapio’s international operations. He has over 30 years of expertise in commercially scaling global software companies. Andrew has worked in a wide range of organizations, from NASDAQ listed companies to privately held businesses, from the Communications sector to Life Sciences industry. Most recently Andrew was the COO of Lumeon, the leaders in healthcare orchestration where he successfully grew the business and entered the US market. With his deep understanding of the Life Sciences industry and proven ability to navigate the complexities of scaling operations, Andrew has consistently built organizations that delight customers while maximizing shareholder value.

Gordon McCall is an accomplished Chief Financial Officer (CFO) known for his ability to drive financial success and foster business growth. With a strong finance and accounting background, Gordon’s extensive experience positions him as a valuable asset in his role.

Having served as CFO for multiple organizations, Gordon has consistently scaled businesses and delivered exceptional results. His passion for supporting private equity-backed companies has honed his expertise in financial management, forecasting, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions.

Gordon’s strategic mindset and hands-on approach provide valuable insights and guide informed decision-making in alignment with organizational goals. His ability to identify growth opportunities and see the bigger picture has been instrumental in driving sustainable success.

With a first-class degree in Finance and Accounting from Glasgow University and qualifications as a Chartered Accountant, Gordon’s academic background complements his practical experience, reflecting his commitment to professional excellence.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Gordon values creating positive company cultures that foster collaboration and development. He prioritizes integrity and is passionate about empowering talented individuals to reach their full potential.

Outside of work, Gordon embraces his Scottish heritage and has a great sense of humor. He enjoys sports, particularly golf, which fuels his personal fulfillment.

As our Chief Financial Officer, Gordon McCall brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and a results-oriented approach to our organization. Sean Blake has more than 20 years of IT leadership experience in technology operations, project management, systems implementation, and application support, with extensive expertise in regulatory compliance including 21 CFR Part 11, Sarbanes-Oxley, FISMA, FDA and US and International data privacy laws.

Having led complex projects across various companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Sean has proven his capabilities in executing critical IT strategies and guiding international, cross-functional, and multi-organizational teams.

Most recently he was the Chief Information Officer at BioAgilytix, where he was responsible for strategic planning, execution, and oversight for all Information Technology department functions globally in support of short and long-term business goals and in compliance with all applicable US and international regulations.

Sean has a BS in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Masters Certificate in Advanced Information Assurance and Security from Villanova University, along with certifications in Certified in Risk and Information System Control ™ (CRISC) and Certified Information Systems Auditor® (CISA) from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).

Rick is the Vice President of Global Marketing at Sapio Sciences. He brings a wealth of marketing experience across numerous B2B software platform businesses, with an emphasis on startups and high-growth technologies. Rick’s experience is instrumental in driving Sapio’s go-to-market strategy and communicating the unique value of Sapio to our clients and prospects.

Prior to Sapio, Rick has led marketing for numerous software businesses, such as Apertio – a company that reinvented real-time data management for mobile networks, Apervita – the first marketplace for clinical decision support algorithms, Lumeon – the first digital health automation platform, and before that headed up marketing for a global division within Hewlett Packard, and led marketing for Vodafone Spain.

Rick is also an avid water sports enthusiast. From kitesurfing to swimming, sailing, snowboarding, and skiing, he enjoys H2O to its fullest.

Ania Plona serves as Sapio Sciences’ Vice President of Customer Success globally, responsible for driving high levels of customer satisfaction and project delivery success. She is equipped with a Master of Science in Bioinorganic Chemistry, having made significant contributions to the fields of scientific informatics and laboratory technology, solidifying her reputation as a distinguished professional. Ania’s portfolio displays an impressive catalog of over a dozen research articles published in scientific journals.

Notably, her expertise extends to validated systems and GxP SaaS offerings, with a steadfast commitment to compliance with 21 CFR part 11. This specialized focus has consistently showcased her expertise in program management, technology transformation, product development, strategic design, and the dynamic world of business and partnership development.

Ania’s leadership shines through in her ability to expertly construct, expand, and guide cross-functional, multicultural teams. Her credentials include Project Management Certification, Scrum Master Certification, and a deep proficiency in Lean Methodologies, which enhance her ability to drive adaptability and efficiency within the sphere of customer success.

With a career spanning over two decades, Ania has held pivotal management roles at Waters Corporation, Biovia, and Dotmatics organizations. Her track record is characterized by her ability to cultivate and nurture robust relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, consistently leading to mutual success and sustainable growth.

Rob Brown is Senior Director of Product Marketing and Presales at Sapio Sciences. He was previously at Dotmatics where he was Head of Global Presales, Product Marketing & Product Management. Earlier in his career he ran product marketing teams at Accelrys, SciTegic and MSI. Rob started his career as a postdoc and later research scientist at Abbott Laboratories (now Abbvie). He received his PhD in Cheminformatics from the University of Sheffield, UK.

Ricky Patel is a forward-thinking, customer-focused software delivery leader based in London, UK. With a proven track record of building lean, agile, and high-performing teams, Ricky aligns strategic visions with precise tactical execution, consistently driving optimal business outcomes.

Equipped with a comprehensive skill set spanning Program and Software delivery, Agile methodologies, Compliance, Security, Cloud Computing, and more, Ricky’s professional journey is marked by transformative accomplishments and remarkable leadership.

Currently serving as the VP of Customer Success – EMEA at Sapio Sciences, Ricky operates at the forefront of scientific innovation. He is a vital contributor to the senior leadership team, guiding a diverse range of functions, including Program Management, Business Analysis, Solution Architecture, and Application Engineering. Ricky’s strategic oversight ensures that customers harness the full potential of the Sapio Sciences platform, leading to groundbreaking advancements and streamlined scientific processes.

In his role prior to Sapio Sciences, Ricky led the software development and global delivery of a transformative Care Orchestration platform. This innovative solution optimized hospital workflows, enhanced patient care, and scaled best practices across diverse healthcare environments.
