How is Sapio Scientific Data Cloud different from a traditional SDMS?

A traditional scientific data management system, or SDMS, stores and organizes documentation and data from various laboratory instruments. Its core functions include capturing, cataloging, and archiving data for future reference. While these tools provide utility in gathering disparate data in a shared location, they are not optimized to address modern science’s data dilemma for several reasons.

First, a traditional SDMS is, by nature, a passive tool.
